PSYCHOTHERAPY

I have been practicing psychotherapy for 6 years in various settings. Experience working children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I've utilized cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectic behavior therapy (DBT) skills. I have been working with clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, and trauma-related diagnoses.

Today, in my private practice, I utilize primarily solution-focused brief therapy to help my client navigate difficult life transitions.

EDUCATION

I've been a college professor for 6 years teaching various psychology courses. I developed lesson plans, assignments, exams, while inspiring enthusiasm in the field of psychology. My teaching style involves a lot of classroom participation of students and various media platforms to make the content salient to the current culture.

Co-Occurring Treatment

I have been working with co-occuring disorder for a decade. Working with individuals with substance use and mental health diagnoses, I have been a direct care worker, a group facilitator, and today the clinical supervisor of a residential treatment program serving this population. In this current role I provide the residential staff members with a clinical basis for providing multilevel treatment modalities. I directly supervise case managers and masters-level clinical interns.
